Introduction

Broughtons GT has been described as the ultimate European grand tour and is staged for an exclusive number of participants. 2008 marks the third Broughtons GT event after the successes of GT:05 and GT:07, when we will depart on a six-night grand tour from the beautiful Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club in East Sussex to the ultimate destination – Casino Square in Monte Carlo.

The event will see owners of some of the world's most exclusive cars from marques such as Bentley, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren Mercedes traveling through some of the most beautiful regions of France, crossing the Alps taking in northern Italy and finally arriving in Casino Square, Monte Carlo for the gala dinner held at the magnificent Hotel de Paris.

Each morning participants are handed a clue sheet outlining the driving route. The roads along each route have been hand picked for both their breathtaking scenery and complete lack of traffic, allowing you to drive your car the way it was designed and built for.

A series of clues will lead you to various locations each day and then challenge you to answer cryptic questions on arrival with points being given for correctly solving the clues. Our sponsors have kindly provided a selection of superb prizes to the competitors with the most points gained during the GT in addition to selected place finishers throughout the field.

The participants in the winning car will receive exquisite prizes courtesy of our title sponsor, Beards – Fine Jewellers, in addition to the Broughtons GT trophy.
